NBA’s Magic firms up sponsorship portfolio for new season

NBA basketball team Orlando Magic has announced a host of new and renewed sponsorship agreements for the 2013-14 season.

Among the Magic’s new partners for the 2013-14 season are printing services provider DEX Imaging, consumer audio specialists Soul Electronics, mail order office-supply retailer Quill, communications company CenturyLink, car dealership Fields Auto Group, armed forces e-commerce destination GovX, liquor store chain ABC Fine Wine & Spirits, analytics software developer SAS and Marriott Vacation Club.

The latter holiday resort group will also serve as the presenting partner of the Magic’s 25th Silver Season.

In addition, regional sports network Fox Sports Florida, brewery Anheuser-Busch, Papa John’s restaurants, health, dental and life insurance provider Florida Blue, the Department of Nutrition, sportswear giant Adidas, Walgreens pharmacy chain, Talk of the Town restaurant group and automotive manufacturer Kia have renewed their multi-year partnerships with the Magic.

Anheuser-Busch remains one of four partners to have been with the Magic throughout its 25-year existence and its flagship Budweiser brand will continue to receive naming rights at the Amway Center’s Baseline Bar, signage throughout the arena and marketing rights to team logos and branding throughout Central Florida for use in a responsible drinking campaign.

Papa John’s Pizza also continues a long-term partnership and will enhance its vending presence at the Amway Center with mobile carts and a new outlet in the Chase Club premium seating section. It will also maintain its online Magic Win promotion, which gives fans the opportunity to have 50 per cent off any order the day after a Magic victory.

Kia remains as the official vehicle of Orlando Magic, with associated signage rights, and continues as the title sponsor of the Kia Terrace at the Amway Center, where it will host one of two vehicle displays in the arena.

Consumer and commercial bank Chase, Florida Hospital, insurance specialists Geico, telecommunications equipment company Harris Corporation, food and drink multinational PepsiCo, Southwest Airlines and the Walt Disney World theme park also return for another year as the champions of the community partners for Orlando Magic and the Amway Center.

This is a sponsorship tier with a focus on community action that grants team and facility access, brand recognition, visibility and category exclusivity.
