Australia-based touring car championship V8 Supercars has reached a three-year deal to make United Petroleum the official fuel supplier to the series, with the ethanol fuels producer also becoming a major commercial partner of the sport.
The agreement is worth an undisclosed multi-million dollar amount and United Petroleum will leverage the tie-up within its network of service stations and convenience stores across Australia.
United Petroleum will provide all competitors in V8 Supercars with its Ethanol85 race fuel at all meetings over the course of the deal.
Other sponsors of V8 Supercars concerned with performance categories are tyre supplier Dunlop, fluid transfer solutions brand Pirtek and engine oils, coolants and additives company STP.
