German automotive chemicals manufacturer Liqui Moly has signed up as a main sponsor of the Vierschanzentournee, the annual ski jumping showpiece otherwise known as the Four Hills Tournament.
Liqui Moly will back the 2018-19 and 2019-20 editions of the competition, which takes place in Germany and Austria, returning to the event for the first time since 2009-10.
The company said it has invested several million euros in its new deal, which grants it visibility on advertising hoardings at the venues, as well as in the warm-up areas, at the start gate and on the wall of the media areas. Furthermore, the brand will also be appearing in the run-up to the event as part of the communications strategy from the organiser. “This gives us a great brand visibility – not only in Germany, but all over the world,” Salvatore Coniglio, export director at Liqui Moly, said.
Liqui Moly will also be present at the 2019 Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld, Austria; as well as the 2019 Ice Hockey World Championship in Slovakia.
“This is an excellent addition to our large motorsports commitment such as MotoGP,” Liqui Moly chief executive Günter Hiermaier added. “The Liqui Moly business partners benefit twice here – from the increased demand by the year-round, international brand presence as well as from invitations to the winter sports events. Winter sports have developed into an important factor in our marketing.”
Liqui Moly will serve alongside Bauhaus, Veltins and Hörmann as a Main Sponsor of the 2018-19 Vierschanzentournee, which runs from December 29 to January 6.
