Air Niugini, the national airline of Papua New Guinea, and telecommunications company Telikom PNG have signed up to support the 2016 Fifa U-20 Women’s World Cup youth-level national football team tournament that will take place in the Pacific nation later this year.
Serving as a national supporter, Air Niugini will provide in-kind assistance such as air travel discounts and various other promotional activities centred around the event.
Telikom PNG, which will also act as a national supporter, will provide facilities and support to Fifa for the broadcasting of the competition to countries around the world. The company will also provide phone lines and internet services for all host stadiums.
This year’s tournament will be staged in four venues across Port Moresby from November 13 to December 3.
