Eden Park to become Coopers Catch Park for Bledisloe Cup match

Eden Park, New Zealand’s national stadium, will take on the moniker of Coopers Catch Park this week after a decision was made on its innovative naming rights deal.

Eden Park last week signed the first naming-rights deal in its 117-year history, albeit on a temporary basis. In what was claimed to be a world first, ASB Bank secured weeklong naming rights to the Auckland venue for the Bledisloe Cup Test match between New Zealand and Australia on October 18, stating it would gift the opportunity to a local business.
