Multinational engineering and electronics company Bosch has opted to extend its partnership with the DTM German touring cars series.
The deal will run for three years, from 2015 through to the end of 2017.
Under the agreement, Bosch will continue to provide equipment for use on board DTM vehicles. Technology will include engine control units and displays.
Bosch will also benefit from branding placement on the windshield of each car involved in DTM races.
“DTM races present exceptionally demanding conditions – vibrations, temperature swings, and extreme acceleration and braking – and these give our products the chance to prove how robust and reliable they are,” Clemens Krebs, head of marketing communications in the mobility solutions business sector at Bosch, said. “We want more than just our name in bold letters on the windshield: we want to see the cars successfully implementing Bosch technology.”
Bosch is already active in the country’s professional sports market through a partnership with the German Handball Federation that began in January.
