The European arm of payment services company Visa has been named the title sponsor of next month’s Paris ePrix, the seventh round of the 2015-16 Formula E electric car-racing championship.
The Visa Paris ePrix will take place in the French capital on April 23. It will mark the first time the city has staged a Formula E event.
Visa Europe currently serves as Formula E’s official payment partner and first teamed up with the series during its inaugural 2014-15 season.
“Paris was the natural choice, due to its position as a centre for European innovation and a major market for us,” Mark Antipof, chief officer of sales and marketing at Visa Europe, said.
Long Beach, USA will stage the sixth round of the season on April 2, before Paris plays host three weeks later.
