Pirelli on track for five more years with World Challenge Championships

Tyre manufacturer Pirelli has sealed a five-year extension to its title sponsorship of North American motor racing series the World Challenge Championships.

Pirelli became the World Challenge Championships’ exclusive tyre supplier in October 2010 before taking the naming rights six months later. Under the renewed deal with series organiser WC Vision, Pirelli will remain as title sponsor up to and including the 2018 season.

The financial terms of the agreement were undisclosed but it continues a fully integrated sponsorship programme, including in-market activation, multi-platform and cross-promotional collaborations between Pirelli and WC Vision.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the World Challenge Championships series and it will feature an increase in competitors across more event weekends, with races to be broadcast and streamed online by US pay-television broadcaster NBC Sports Network.
