Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain has renewed and broadened its partnership with US video game developer Electronic Arts to 2023- 2024.
Under the deal, EA Sports will become the club’s latest Premium Partner – the sponsorship tier below main shirt sponsor AccorHotels and kit supplier Nike.
The new deal includes additional club assets such as the creation of co-branded digital content and the setting up of international events during the season and during pre-season tours.
Marc Armstrong, chief partnerships officer at Paris Saint-Germain, said: “We are delighted that they [EA Sports] have chosen to underline their commitment to the club by stepping up their involvement and becoming one of Paris Saint-Germain’s Premium Partners.
“We look forward to designing and building major new projects together in the years to come, especially in the digital area. The extension of this partnership is also a way for the club to strengthen its relationship with its fans.”
PSG’s other Premium Partners are Orange, beIN Sports, Ooredoo, Nivea Men, Renault and Supercell. Premium Partners typically get branding rights on perimeter advertising boards and interview backdrops.
This season’s Fifa 20 game will be released on 27 September. Real Madrid’s Eden Hazard will be the cover star of this year’s regular edition. Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk will be the cover star of the Champions Edition.
