ABT Sportsline has sealed sponsorship agreements with courier company Deutsche Post, its associated DHL eCommerce business and the Warsteiner brewery ahead of the motor racing team’s participation in the Formula E Championship, the new electric car series operated by the FIA, motorsport’s global governing body.
Deutsche Post has an established relationship with ABT Sportsline and DHL sponsors its Formula E driver Daniel Abt in his current role at GP2 Series team Hilmer Motorsport.
Deutche Post’s branding and e-mail logo will feature on Abt’s Formula E car while team-mate Lucas di Grassi’s outfit will carry the branding of DHL eCommerce.
The Warsteiner brewery branding will be prominent on the upper front of both ABT Sportsline cars.
Formula E begins in Beijing on September 13 and has 10 rounds scheduled for its inaugural run, concluding in London on June 27 next year. Berlin will host Germany’s round of the championship on May 30. Earlier this week, pay-television broadcaster Sky Deutschland secured the exclusive live rights for the series in Germany.
