English Premier League newcomer AFC Bournemouth has agreed a stadium naming rights deal with health insurance provider Vitality.
The terms of the sponsorship for Bournemouth’s Dean Court ground were not officially disclosed, although the Bournemouth Echo newspaper said the contract runs for three years covering the 2015-16 to 2017-18 football seasons.
In May, Vitality agreed to become Bournemouth’s official health and wellness partner and a principal partner of the club’s Community Sports Trust. Vitality also has partnership agreements with Premier League clubs Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City.
London-based management company Goldsands has been Bournemouth’s stadium sponsor since July 2012.
Bournemouth commercial director Rob Mitchell said: “With Vitality’s existing partnerships with some of the biggest clubs in the country, it’s an honour to have their support as we make our Premier League debut. Vitality also plays a very significant role in the town’s growing economy, not to mention its encouragement of local people leading healthier lives.”
Bournemouth won the Championship last season to secure promotion to the Premier League. Online gaming company Mansion Group last month agreed a shirt sponsorship deal with the club, which takes effect for Bournemouth’s debut campaign in the Premier League.
