North American basketball league the NBA has extended its partnership in Italy with banking group UBI Banca.
The partnership was first established in September 2016 and will now run for a further three years, with UBI continuing as the Official Bank of the NBA in Italy and an exclusive partner in the retail banking sector.
UBI has already established a range of NBA-branded payment cards, with all card-holders having access to benefits such as competitions to attend NBA games in the US and Europe, as well as discounts on NBA products.
UBI is also working with the NBA to redevelop basketball courts in certain Italian cities. The first of these was inaugurated in June 2018 at Cecchina park in Rome.
