Australian telecommunications company iiNet has announced a renewed three-year principal partner deal with Big Bash League Twenty20 cricket franchise Sydney Sixers.
The company commenced its relationship with the Sydney Sixers last year during the 2013-14 BBL season. The financial terms of the latest agreement were not disclosed.
Marketing manager of iiNet, Alicia Phillis, said: “Sydney really embraced the team last year and the Sixers fanbase has grown in a very short period of time, generating higher than expected levels of exposure for iiNet and our partnership with the team.”
Along with Sydney Sixers, iiNet is also a principal partner of AFL Australian rules football team Hawthorn and Phillis says the company has received strong returns from these associations.
She added: “The sales and brand recognition numbers coming from Victoria and New South Wales are outstanding, so we've just agreed to invest more time and resources into our partnerships in these key growth states, and continue growing the iiNet name and reputation alongside those of the two clubs.”
