US-based investment firm Sixth Street Partners is reportedly among the firms preparing a bid for a share of the Bundesliga broadcast and commercial rights business as the German Football League (DFL), organising body of the top two divisions of the domestic game, continues to plot out its future strategy.

Sixth Street is in early stage talks over a potential deal with the DFL, the Financial Times said, citing people familiar with the matter. The DFL is said to be set to address the matter further at a meeting on Thursday, having set out its stall following a gathering on Friday.
