Formula One motor racing team Sauber has agreed deals to make fashion label McGregor and real estate company Pacific Ventures Dubai premium partners on the eve of the 2014 season.
McGregor logos will feature on the top of the drivers' headrests from this weekend’s season-opening Australian Grand Prix and remain throughout the 2014 campaign, while this branding will be extended to the overalls and helmets worn by the team’s drivers at the next round in Malaysia at the end of this month. Sauber test and reserve driver Giedo van der Garde has a long-standing partnership with McGregor.
Meanwhile, Pacific Ventures will benefit from its branding appearing on the rear side pods of the Sauber C33 from the Australian Grand Prix onwards. The tie-up marks a first collaboration between the Swiss team and a Middle East brand.
The terms of both deals were undisclosed.
In practice for the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne today, Sauber drivers Adrian Sutil and Esteban Gutierrez were placed 14th and 15th respectively.
