Qatar ‘considering’ allowing alcohol in World Cup stadiums

Qatari officials are reported to be “considering” allowing the sale of alcohol in stadiums at the 2022 Fifa World Cup amid pressure from Fifa and its official beer sponsor Anheuser-Busch.

Bloomberg reports the ban on drinking alcohol at sporting events in Qatar could be lifted, with Bud Light or another lower-alcohol Budweiser product to be made available inside the tournament venues.
