Perrier refreshes long-running French Open deal

Mineral water brand Perrier has extended its long-standing association with the French Open tennis championships.

Perrier, owned by multi-national food and drinks conglomerate Nestlé, has signed a three-year renewal that is effective from after this year’s tournament and runs until 2018.

The deal takes Perrier’s association with the French Open up to 40 years, having initially become a partner of Roland Garros in 1978. The company retains its position on the event’s second tier of sponsors alongside IBM, Emirates, FedEx, GDF Suez, Lacoste, Longines and Peugeot.

Perrier will once more benefit from branding placement on the players’ and umpire’s chairs among its package of marketing rights at the French Open, where it will supply its waters to players, officials and spectators. It will also continue to enjoy a presence at the Roland Garros in the City promotional event in Beijing, China.

The 2015 French Open takes place from May 19 to June 7.
