Italian telematics company Octo has agreed a deal to become the title sponsor of the 2015 British Grand Prix, the 12th round on the MotoGP motorcycling series’ calendar.
Brokered by the series’ commercial rights-holder Dorna Sports, the deal will cover the 2015 edition of the race, with the option to extend for a further two years.
This year’s race, which will be known as the Octo British Grand Prix, takes place at the Silverstone Circuit on August 30.
Octo has already established a presence in MotoGP through its ongoing support of various teams competing in the series.
Pau Serracanta, managing director of the commercial area at Dorna Sports, said: “Being at the forefront of technology and innovations is key for the MotoGP World Championship, and this partnership with Octo gives them the perfect platform to develop their own strategy.”
