Nike extends backing of NBA Mexico City Games

US sportswear company Nike has further strengthened its association with North American basketball league the NBA by extending its role as Presenting Partner of the Mexico City Games.

The NBA’s official on-court apparel provider will serve in the role for the second consecutive season.

The NBA Mexico City Games 2018 presented by Nike will feature the Orlando Magic playing regular-season games against the Chicago Bulls on December 13, and against the Utah Jazz on December 15 at the Arena Ciudad de México.

The games will mark the third consecutive season the NBA will play two regular-season games in Mexico City as well as the 27th and 28th games in Mexico since 1992, the most held in any country outside the United States and Canada.

In addition to being the Presenting Partner, Nike will receive prominent brand exposure, including event logo inclusion, in-arena showroom, and signage.

NBA Mexico vice-president and managing director, Raul Zarraga, said: “Together with Nike, we will work to provide our fans in Mexico with an authentic NBA experience that will showcase three great teams and reinforce our commitment to growing basketball across the country.”
