Nespresso makes waves as America’s Cup supplier

NESTLÉ GROUP coffee brand Nespresso will be served at the 2013 America’s Cup as the Official Coffee of the event, continuing a partnership that began in 2007.

Nespresso was a sponsor of Team Alinghi for the 32nd America’s Cup campaign between 2004-2007, as well as being the Official Coffee to the event.

The new deal includes the America’s Cup World Series, which returns to Naples, Italy in April, before the Louis Vuitton Cup in July and August and the 34th America’s Cup Finals in San Francisco in September.

The agreement with the America’s Cup will allow Nespresso to create “multiple brand and product experiences” throughout the summer in San Francisco, including a promotion whereby “Nespresso Grand Cru” coffees are on offer at America’s Cup Park.

Nespresso’s sponsorship is in the second tier official supplier category, alongside Moet & Chandon, St Regis, Napa Valley, Red Bull, Garmin, PWC, HansonBridgett, Althelia and Sailors for the Sea.
