Pre-paid mobile SIM card provider Lycamobile has agreed a deal to become the official mobile partner of Test match grounds in England ahead of the 2014 cricket season.
Under the sponsorship Lycamobile will activate across all of England’s international cricket matches held at the nine recognised international grounds – Lord’s and The Oval in London, the Durham International Cricket Ground, Edgbaston in Birmingham, Leeds’ Headingley, Manchester’s Old Trafford, the Rose Bowl in Southampton, Cardiff’s Sophia Gardens and Nottingham’s Trent Bridge.
In total, the company will benefit from exposure across 47 scheduled days of live international cricket this summer as England prepares to face the touring Sri Lanka and India sides in Tests, one-day internationals and Twenty20 contests.
Additionally, Lycamobile has also agreed to become the official mobile partner of Surrey County Cricket Club for the 2014 season. The deal covers all Surrey matches in England’s domestic first-class, list A and T20 competitions, while the team’s Oval home will host England’s ODI versus Sri Lanka and the final Test of the summer against India.
Lycamobile is set to collaborate with Surrey on community initiatives.
