Swiss private banking group Julius Baer has reached a deal to become the exclusive global partner of the Formula E Championship, the new electric motor racing series which launches in Beijing, China this weekend.
Julius Baer aims to leverage the sponsorship for “high-class events” and a wide range of marketing activities, with Formula E’s schedule across 10 major world cities holding a key appeal in this regard.
At the one-day race events, Julius Baer’s logo will feature on all cars and at trackside. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Boris F.J. Collardi, chief executive of Julius Baer, said: “This gives us the unique opportunity to get involved in the world’s first fully-electric racing series which fosters innovation towards more sustainable means of transport. Formula E provides us with a first-rate global platform to share this bold vision with our clients.”
Formula E’s inaugural season concludes in London on June 27.
