Pakistani banking firm HBL has renewed its title sponsorship of the Pakistani Super League, the country’s premier domestic cricket tournament.
HBL, also known as Habib Bank Limited, will sponsor the Super League for the next three years, from 2019 to 2021.
A longstanding partner, HBL has sponsored the Super League since it launched in 2016, during which time the league has come to be known as the ‘HBL PSL’.
Financial terms were not disclosed, but media reports indicate the deal has undergone a ‘significant’ increase in value in this renewal cycle.
HBL chief marketing officer Naveed Asghar said: “The ‘HBL PSL’ has become the largest platform in Pakistan, in line with our brand promise. It has fulfilled dreams of many young budding Pakistani cricketers to become cricketing stars.
“It has also elevated the image of Pakistan cricket internationally, while reviving the passion for cricket. We promise to make the next three years of ‘HBL PSL’ much bigger and even more entertaining.”
The ‘HBL Pakistan Super League’ player draft for season four will take place on November 20, 2018 in Islamabad.
