Australian wooden sports floor manufacturer Aura and cleaning services company Incognitus have become the latest sponsors of the 2018 edition of the Commonwealth Games multi-sport event, which will be staged in Australia’s Gold Coast region.
Aura will build portable wooden sports floors at the basketball and netball venues during the Games.
It will lay around 1,563 sqm of speed lock flooring and 608 sqm of Rome 20 flooring at the Coomera Indoor Sports Centre and the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Meanwhile, Australian firm Incognitus has been named as the official housekeeping service for the Games.
Incognitus will be responsible for housekeeping, common area cleaning, waste services and the resident serviced laundries within the Games Village.
The company served at the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games, as well as the Athens 2004 and London 2012 Olympic Games.
Incognitus will recruit up to 450 staff, including 50 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
The Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games will run from April 4-15.
