Energy drinks company Red Bull has agreed a multi-year deal to become the title sponsor of the Global Rallycross motorsport series.
The firm, which will become the first title sponsor of the series since its inception in 2011, will also be the official energy drink of Global Rallycross.
“Their legacy of growing brands in the motorsports arena, from Formula One to motocross and beyond, makes them the perfect partner to take Global Rallycross to the next level,” Global Rallycross’ chief executive, Colin Dyne, said.
The deal will take effect from the 2014 season. The race calendar will consist of either 10 or 11 events, which will be announced later this month.
