Electric car-racing championship Formula E has agreed a partnership with French winery Moët & Chandon.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Moët & Chandon will serve as Formula E’s Official Champagne Supplier, starting from the 2018-19 season.
Alongside supplying VIPs and guests in the premium hospitality area inside the Emotion Club – Moët & Chandon will also look to host fans at dedicated Champagne bars positioned in the Allianz E-Village at a number of select races throughout the season.
Stéphane Baschiera, president and chief executive of Maison Moët & Chandon, said: “As a Maison that has made technology an essential component of our strategy – from the broad scope of our R&D, to the precision of our sustainable viticulture practices – it’s a pleasure to work with Formula E, who operate at the forefront of technology and re-think the future.”
