NBA basketball franchise the Charlotte Hornets has secured partnerships with US financial institution Bank of America and household cleaning products firm the Libman Group.
Although the franchise is yet to officially announce its partnership with Bank of America, the Charlotte Business Journal newspaper reported that the multi-year deal was agreed earlier this week.
Terms of the reported partnership have not been disclosed, but Bank of America has recently installed a number of ATMs inside the team’s Time Warner Cable Arena.
The newspaper also reported that the partnership is likely to be tied to military philanthropy, with the Hornets and Bank of America to work on programmes honouring military members and veterans at Hornets home games and during the annual community service day after each season.
Bank of America will also serve as title sponsor of the team foundation’s military outreach.
Meanwhile, the team has confirmed a multi-year partnership with the Libman Group.
Although the terms of the deal were not disclosed, the Hornets did state that the Libman Group will serve as the team’s official hardwood floor care provider.
The Libman Group’s logo will appear on the back of shirts worn by Hornets ball kids during all home games while team mascot ‘Hugo’ will utilise a Libman-branded mop for various in-game activities.
The partnership also includes LED basket stanchion signage, courtside rotational signage and coupon offers to fans in attendance at selected games, as well as radio spots during Hornets broadcasts, advertising on the team’s website, as well as incorporation within official Hornets social media platforms.
