The International Olympic Committee has extended its Worldwide Olympic Partner (TOP) deal with payment service company Visa and struck a new TOP deal with insurance brand Allianz at price points that exceed the new range of $200m (€170m) per quadrennial cycle introduced by the IOC marketing department in 2014.
It is thought that both deals are in the $50m to $55m per year range.
