Tyre manufacturer Cooper Tire Europe has agreed to become an official partner of the inaugural FIA World Rallycross Championship motor-racing series.
The three-year deal will begin immediately and run until 2016.
Cooper Tire Europe will serve as the official tyre supplier to the series and provide tyres to drivers on all 12 rounds of the debut Championship.
The company is already active in the rallycross sector with sister brand Avon Tyres currently serving as the exclusive tyre supplier to the French Rallycross Championship.
The 2014 FIA World Rallycross Championship will begin in Portugal over the weekend of May 3-4.
