Australian winery Wolf Blass has signed on as the latest sponsor of this year’s Rugby League World Cup.
Wolf Blass will serve as the official wine partner of the event, which will be co-hosted by Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.
The winery will receive pourage rights in the wine category for all games played in Australia and New Zealand.
Wolf Blass will be the wine of choice in hospitality suites and functions at all fixtures played across the two countries, with its products to be made available at official events held throughout the tournament.
Wolf Blass will also organise engagement initiatives through its distribution network and on-premise channels to promote the partnership.
Angus Lilley, Wolf Blass marketing director for Australia, said the partnership is an evolution of the brand’s ongoing relationship with rugby league, having been a commercial partner of Australia’s NRL league since 2016.
The World Cup will run from October 27 to December 2.
