US sportswear company Nike has agreed an apparel and sponsorship deal with the University of Tennessee's athletics department.
The eight-year deal will run from July 1, 2015 through to June 30, 2023.
Under the agreement, Nike will become the official apparel provider for the university’s athletics department and will supply all of UT’s athletics programmes and spirit squads with apparel, uniforms, footwear and additional equipment.
Fans will also be able to purchase officially licensed UT kit produced by Nike once the partnership commences.
UT has been a partner of German sportswear firm adidas since 1997 and will continue to work with the brand until the Nike deal begins next year.
