German sportswear manufacturer Adidas has entered into a partnership with the athletics division of the University of Wyoming in the US.
The eight-year deal will run from the 2018-19 academic year through to the end of the 2025-26 season.
Adidas, which replaces rival Nike, will provide headwear, uniforms, footwear and accessories to all 17 of the university’s Cowboys and Cowgirls sports teams.
Tom Burman, athletics director at Wyoming, said: “Among our goals in obtaining this new deal was to provide the highest quality athletic apparel for all of our athletic teams, while at the same time securing the deal that would provide us the most financially beneficial agreement for Wyoming Athletics.”
Adidas has similar deals in place with more than 100 collegiate programmes across the US.
