Toyota backs four Canadian sports bodies

The Canadian division of Japanese automotive manufacturer Toyota has entered into partnerships with four Canadian sports organisations.

Toyota Canada will become the official mobility sponsor and official vehicle sponsor of Canada Basketball, Canada Soccer, Freestyle Canada and Wheelchair Basketball Canada.

Under the agreements, Toyota will sponsor senior national teams and athletes, as well as the development of various grassroots sports initiatives.

Toyota Canada will sponsor all eight of Canada’s national basketball teams, including the senior men’s and women’s sides and the youth age groups.

The company will also support each of Canada Soccer’s 12 national teams and serve as title sponsor of the U15, U17 and senior national championships, as well as a primary partner of the Canadian Championship.

Toyota Canada will serve as a tier-one partner of Freestyle Canada and will support the body’s domestically-hosted international competitions as presenting sponsor of the International Ski Federation’s (FIS) Freestyle World Cup events in Quebec and Alberta.

Finally, the company will support all four of Canada’s wheelchair basketball teams and serve as the presenting sponsor of the body’s Hoopfest event, and a presenting partner of its national academy.
