Tecno Mobile renews Manchester City sponsorship deal with India virtual race

Tecno Mobile has renewed a global sponsorship deal with football club Manchester City. The Chinese mobile phone manufacturer has been the Official Global Tablet and Handset Partner for the Premier League reigning champions since 2016.

On Wednesday, as part of the sponsorship renewal announcement, former Manchester City star Paul Dickov kicked off the “Tecno Race to Manchester City” – a health and fitness challenge in India that has participants clocking as many steps as possible on an application in a virtual race.

Stephen Ha, vice-president of Transsion Holdings and managing director for Tecno Mobile and Transsion India said in a press release: “India is one of our top priority markets and thanks to our global partner Manchester City, we can provide Indian consumers and fans a unique opportunity to enrich their lives.”

Tecno, part of Transsion Holdings, was established in China and over the last decade has grown its global presence to over 60 emerging markets.
