NFL American football franchise the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has agreed a multi-year partnership with fast food restaurant chain PDQ.
Beginning with the upcoming 2019 season, PDQ will serve as the official chicken tender of the Buccaneers, receiving two concession stands on the main concourse at Raymond James Stadium.
PDQ started in Tampa in 2011 and now has 67 locations in 11 states. PDQ chief executive and co-founder Nick Reader has a prior connection to the Buccaneers having previously served as the franchise’s chief financial officer.
As part of the agreement, the Buccaneers and PDQ will work together to engage fans through marketing initiatives at Raymond James Stadium and throughout the Tampa Bay community.
The partnership allows for marketing and PR initiatives, such as exclusive sweepstakes, Buccaneers themed Street Team activations and fan-focused contests. Branding in Raymond James Stadium is also a component of the partnership and PDQ will serve as the exclusive food provider for pre-flight meals for all Buccaneers road games.
