Financial institution St. George Bank has signed a three-year extension to its naming sponsorship of Australian Super Rugby side Queensland Reds.
The deal marks a second three-year term for St. George Bank alongside Queensland Reds as title sponsor. Financial terms were not disclosed.
St. George Bank will also work to support Queensland Reds’ grassroots and community initiatives, including the St George Rookie2Reds programmes.
Queensland Rugby chief executive Jim Carmichael said: “The relationship between the two organisations is mutually rewarding and a real example of what can be achieved when an organisation has the right ‘fit’ with a corporate partner. St. George is wholeheartedly behind our vision to grow participation and visibility in Queensland Rugby. We now have over 260,000 boys, girls, men and women playing the sport across more than 500 schools and 200 clubs, as well as 20,000 volunteers.”
Queensland Reds finished 13th in the 2014 Super Rugby standings.
