Asian online gambling company D88.com has agreed a deal to become title sponsor of the European Masters snooker event.
The 2018 edition of the world ranking event will be known as the D88.com European Masters and will run from October 1-7 in Lommel, Belgium.
The event was held in Lommel for the first time last season, with Judd Trump (pictured) emerging as the winner with a 9-7 victory over Stuart Bingham in the final.
D88.com also sponsors snooker’s German Masters event. It replaces online betting operator 888sport as the European Masters' title sponsor.
World Snooker chairman Barry Hearn said: “The popularity of snooker throughout Europe continues to grow and this goes hand in hand with our strategy of staging major tournaments in key locations throughout the continent, giving the fans the chance to see the very best players live in action.
“We look forward to working with the D88.com team on this event and building a strong relationship with them in the future.”
