Online gambling and casino company Jojobet.com has agreed a deal with World Snooker to title sponsor this year’s edition of the Gibraltar Open.
The event, which takes place at the Tercentenary Sports Hall from March 3-5, will officially be known as the Jojobet.com Gibraltar Open.
It will serve as a full-ranking event, with world champion Mark Selby among the 128 players set to compete. Last year’s event was won by Marco Fu (pictured) of Hong Kong.
The deal marks Jojobet.com’s first venture into snooker sponsorship. A spokesman for Jojobet said: “Snooker is very popular in Europe and around the world and we hope this sponsorship will connect our brand to many fans.”
