Rugby League World Cup 2013 organisers have agreed a double deal ahead of the tournament’s kick-off this weekend with domain name registrar and web hosting provider GoDaddy.com, along with Hertz, added to the event’s commercial portfolio.
GoDaddy.com branding will feature prominently on match days at the 14-nation tournament through sponsorship of the post protectors and pitch-side advertising.
GoDaddy.com joins a growing portfolio of partners for the event, which also includes Hertz.
The vehicle rental firm is providing 16 specially branded vans and 20 people carriers to Rugby League World Cup 2013 as its official vehicle hire supplier.
The Hertz vehicles will transport players, coaches and equipment to and from fixtures during the six weeks of competition, while it will also benefit from perimeter branding and advertisements in official matchday programmes
Hertz provided the Trophy Tour Van that toured the UK with the Rugby League World Cup Trophy over the past seven months.
The World Cup gets under way on Saturday when England meet Australia and Wales take on Italy in a double-header at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium.
