Argentinian Superliga football club River Plate has struck a shirt sponsorship deal with the Pro Evolution Soccer video game series.
The length of the agreement has not been disclosed but it began with the Buenos Aires-based club’s match against cross-city rival Boca Juniors at the weekend.
The logo of the recently-released PES 2019 title featured on the numbers of River players’ shirts during the match, which River won 2-0.
River is currently without a front-of-shirt sponsor, although the branding of Chinese telco Huawei features on the team’s sleeves, with the logo of deodorant brand Axe featuring on the shorts.
