Honda Racing Corporation has extended a partnership with energy drinks brand Red Bull for its Repsol Honda MotoGP motorcycling team.
The new two-year deal will cover the 2017 and 2018 MotoGP seasons. Red Bull will continue to serve as the team’s official energy drinks partner, a position it has held for the last two seasons.
Under the agreement, Red Bull’s logo will continue to appear on the Honda bikes used by riders Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa, who themselves have held endorsement deals with the company since 2008 and 2003, respectively.
Repsol Honda is one of the leading MotoGP teams and currently sits top of the constructors’ championship at the midway point of the 2016 season, with Marquez and Pedrosa occupying first and fourth place in the drivers' championship respectively.
The 10th round of the 2016 season will take place this weekend at the Red Bull Ring circuit in Spielberg, Austria.
