US fast food chain Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen has agreed to become title sponsor of the inaugural Bahamas Bowl college post-season American football game.
Under the deal, the first edition of the event will be known as the Popeyes Bahamas Bowl.
The Bowl, which will feature teams from Conference USA and the Mid-American Conference, will take place for the first time on December 24 at the Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium in Nassau, Bahamas. It will be the first bowl game played outside of the US since the 2010 International Bowl in Toronto, Canada.
Popeyes will join the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism and Atlantis – Paradise Island as partners of the inaugural event.
The deal was brokered by the Impression Sports & Entertainment agency.
