P&G strikes deal with US Figure Skating

Consumer goods company Procter & Gamble has reached an agreement to become the official beauty care provider of the US Figure Skating organisation.

The partnership will run until June 30, 2015, and includes on-air presenting rights for the International Skating Union’s Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series on US network NBC.

The 2013 Grand Prix Series, a seven-event international competition featuring Olympic-level athletes, began in October at the Skate America event and concludes with the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final on December 5-8 in Fukuoka, Japan.

P&G will receive commercial advertising across NBC's 2013-14 figure skating coverage, which also includes the 2014 US Figure Skating Championships and the 2014 ISU World Figure Skating Championships.

Each broadcast will include an athlete-focused feature presented by one of P&G's brands, while the company will benefit from further activations across US Figure Skating's digital and social media platforms.

P&G is a global partner to the International Olympic Committee and its brand ambassadors include American skaters Evan Lysacek, Ashley Wagner, Gracie Gold, Meryl Davies and Charlie White.
