THE MALAYSIA-BASED agency Total Sports Asia has snared Homestead as the Official Team Sponsor of the Sri Lanka national cricket Team for all International Cricket Council (ICC) events for the next thee years.
The deal encompasses the T20 World Cup in Sri Lanka in 2012, ICC Champions Trophy in UK in 2013 and T20 World Cup in Bangladesh in 2014.
“Homestead plans to use to this association with one of the top cricketing nations to further its Real Estate business interests in Sri Lanka,” the agency said.
The sponsorship property became available when India's largest telecommunications brand Reliance became a sponsor of the ICC, making it impossible for Sri Lanka Mobitel, the national mobile service provider, to remain as Sri Lanka’s official sponsor for ICC competitions.
Mobitel will continue be the national team’s official sponsor for two-nation tournaments.
Homestead is a London-based company engaged in the development of real estate and development projects in India, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
