NBA signs Spanish-focused sponsorship deal

North American basketball league the NBA has agreed a strategic partnership for the Spanish market with fresh fruit producer Fresón de Palos.

The length of the deal was not disclosed, but Fresón de Palos will become an Official pPartner of the NBA in Spain, helping to promote healthy eating habits and lifestyle choices for Spanish consumers.

As part of the association, Fresón de Palos will launch a variety of promotions in which the new association with the NBA will be displayed in more than 10 million packages of Fresón de Palos forest fruits. Fresón de Palos NBA products will be distributed in the main supermarket chains throughout the country.

In addition, Fresón de Palos will carry out an NBA-themed media campaign through multiple channels that will include television advertising. Customers will also be granted the chance to win tickets to the 2019 NBA London Game between the Washington Wizards and New York Knicks on January 17, while Fresón de Palos will also distribute 1,000 NBA basketballs amongst its customers.

“The visibility that the NBA will give to our campaign will promote healthy habits and sales among our main target audience of young people and families,” Jaime Zaforas, marketing director of Fresón de Palos, said.
