NBA takes Stance with sock deal

The NBA basketball league in North America has extended and expanded a multi-year deal with sock brand Stance.

Starting with the 2015-16 season, Stance will be the NBA’s official on-court sock provider, with the brand’s logo appearing on all on-court designs – a first for the league.

The brand will make its debut at the 2015 NBA Draft Combine next month and will be worn by all players participating in the 2015 NBA Summer League in July. Stance will create team-specific designs as well as unique styles for marquee events and holiday games.

Stance has also signed up Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson (right of picture) as its latest brand ambassador. Thompson has joined Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade, Detroit Pistons centre Andre Drummond and Dallas Mavericks forward Chandler Parsons on the brand’s roster.

“We are thrilled to extend our existing relationship with Stance, a marketplace leader in the sock and fashion industry, to the court,” NBA vice-president of licensing Lisa Piken Koper said. “Stance has had remarkable success through its commitment to innovative product design and performance technology, making it an ideal partner for the NBA.”
