Marston’s Beer Company has agreed a five-year extension to its sponsorship and supply partnership with Marylebone Cricket Club, the owners of Lord’s Cricket Ground.
The new agreement marks the continuation of a 10-year relationship that began in 2008 to supply all ales, beers, lagers, stouts and ciders to every bar at the ‘Home of Cricket’ in London.
As the official beer of Lord’s, Marston’s beer brands, Pedigree and 61 Deep will feature on draught in every bar and will be seen around the ground across 28 hoardings.
Alongside the in-ground presence, the sponsorship deal includes a number of match tickets to promote the club’s links with beer fans.
Andy Muggleton, assistant secretary of commercial at MCC, said: “Our relationship extends beyond supply, into a wider partnership that MCC and Marston’s leverage through their association with each other, meaning we can continue to deliver exceptional service and experiences for the fans coming to Lord’s.”
Meanwhile, Warwickshire County Cricket Club has extended its sponsorship deal with Birmingham’s BMI The Priory Hospital.
The private hospital, which is based less than one mile from Warwickshire’s Edgbaston Stadium, retains its status as the team’s Official Healthcare Partner for another 12 months.
Warwickshire CCC will continue to enjoy use of the hospital’s facilities when members of the playing squad require scans for injury assessment or for rehabilitation programmes.
In return, BMI The Priory Hospital receives promotional rights at major cricket matches played at Edgbaston in 2020, including England’s test match against the West Indies and one-day international against Ireland, along with the Vitality Blast Finals Day.
