The Madison Square Garden Company has announced a multi-year marketing partnership with Major Energy to make the energy supply company the official gas and electric energy partner of NBA basketball team the New York Knicks.
Major Energy also becomes an official partner of Madison Square Garden as a result of the deal with the historic venue’s operating company.
The company will enjoy significant brand integration at the Garden during Knicks games, including LED signage and the “Knicks Noise Meter Presented by Major Energy” feature on the centre scoreboard.
It will also benefit from integration on IPTV system throughout the arena for all events at Madison Square Garden, promotion on the Knicks website including a specially branded Knicks.com/majorenergy page and advertisements on the MSG Network television service.
Major Energy customers will receive special offers in conjunction with the deal, including Knicks-branded merchandise and tickets to games. Additionally it will launch the “Knicks Win At Home – You Win At Home” initiative where customers can receive an exclusive discount on their highest energy bill of the year based on the Knicks’ 2013-14 regular season home win total.
