Cruise ship operator Norwegian Cruise Line has reached a marketing agreement with NBA basketball franchise the New York Knicks.
Under the deal, Norwegian Cruise Line become the official cruise line of the Knicks and will enjoy exposure on the team’s official digital platforms and during home games at Madison Square Garden.
The Madison Square Garden presence comprises of branding on the Seventh Avenue and Eighth Avenue marquees outside the venue, integration on the central Gardenvision screen and sponsorship of on-court promotions, during which fans can win prizes provided by Norwegian Cruise Line.
Additionally, the company becomes the presenting partner of the Knicks post-game digital platform at KnicksNow.com, as well as the team’s mobile app.
The terms of the deal with the Knicks’ operating group, Madison Square Garden Sports, were undisclosed.
Earlier this month, Norwegian Cruise Line became an official sponsor of NFL American football team Miami Dolphins for the 2013-14 season.
