LPGA reveals partners for International Crown debut

The Ladies Professional Golf Association has announced Hana Financial Group, Pandora Jewellery and luxury watch brand Rolex as ambassador sponsors for its inaugural International Crown tournament, which takes place on July 24-27 at Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Maryland.

The biennial matchplay tournament will feature the best female golfers from the top eight countries across the globe, based on the LPGA’s combined world rankings of the top four players from each country.

For the 2014 edition, Australia, Chinese Taipei, Japan, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, the United States and Thailand will be the nations represented.

Hana Financial Group has been the title sponsor of the LPGA KEB HanaBank Championship in Korea for the last five years and sponsors several LPGA players including Hee Young Park, Vicky Hurst and International Crown participants I.K. Kim and So Yeon Ryu.

Pandora is new to the LPGA commercial roster this year and is partnering with players Brittany Lincicome, Lizette Salas and Gerina Pillar as brand ambassadors.

Rolex is the official timepiece of the LPGA through an ongoing 34-year association. In 2006 it acquired the naming rights to the LPGA world rankings and became a global partner of the Solheim Cup in 2009.
